COVID-19 Response Update 25 MARCH 2020

The Government has released a new range of measures aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19, including a ban on all social gatherings indoors or outdoors. As such our church meetings have been cancelled until we are able to resume.

In so many ways this is an unparalleled period in history where in such a short period of time the world has literally gone into quarantine due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It still seems surreal that we are speaking literally rather than figuratively about the impacts of this pandemic on the world as we know it. The impact of this pandemic is unprecedented in terms of breadth and scale, particularly from a global health, social and economic standpoint.

It is important to remember that Jesus still sits on the Throne, and this season of fear and uncertainty for the world will pass. It is equally important for the church to be present and to continue to be a faith-filled, positive and healing influence to those most in need, fully engaged in the society in which we live. We are, after all, salt and light to our community.

The ministry team will still be available to you and many of our activities will continue however the format and logistics will be much different. In the next weeks we are intending to provide a range of content on our web site aimed at providing resources for people to continue to grow in the Word. Some of the ideas we are hoping to implement are new to some and not without a few technological challenges along the way.

My intent is to keep you engaged in the vision of the church and to challenge you to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into a deeper and more profound expression of your faith to those around you.

Keep an eye on our web site and Facebook page for details.

Rest assured that we will resume our church services as soon as the situation allows and in accordance with Australian Government directions.

We can’t wait to see you again in church!
